A Bavarian cloudy Weiss or Wheat beer brewed to bock strength. The overall impression is a beer that is strong and malty, rich, full bodied and warming. Flavours of chocolate, Christmas cake, raisins, dark fruits and even a hint of Easter spices and clove characters.

This brew pours a nice jet cola colour with decent carbonation that leaves a two finger creamy head and sporadic lacing, the aromas are chocolate, bananna and malty wheat,it has a nice mouthfeel which is neither thick nor thin just nice with a predominant chocolate/bananna taste to it and very easy to down with no hint of its 8.0% ABV,quite a nice beer and will buy it again.

Chestnut wood color with some ruby highlight. Poured with a decent khaki that diminishes rather quickly leaving light lacing. Could smell the banana from the tap a meter away. Also notes of chocolate and some light spicing, particularly clove. No surprise then that the taste consists of banana and chocolate along with a strong sweet - and lighter wheat - malt backbone with hints of dark stone fruits towards the end (the alcohol perhaps). A definite improvement over the 7% batch. I'd guess this might be a replacement for the APA next season given its popularity but with the dunkelweiss already out there maybe not. Frankly I don't care how it comes back so long as it doesn't disappear forever. Good drop.
