It's an overly foamy pour to empty the entire contents of a pint can into a clear glass liter mug. Often, wheat in the wort is suspect. The excessive foam is lightly violet and the liquid beneath is dully purple-amber and opaque. The foam is slow to recede, but it does so unevenly and unattractively, leaving sporadic lacing inside the vessel. The raspberry is certainly there for the nose and it does smell more like a sour beer than a fruity seltzer. There's sufficient raspberry to taste and it has a nice mouthfeel. It's a pleasant drink, but it has to disappoint dedicated sour beer lovers. It's not close to sour, it's only modestly tart. At least there are some characteristics that make this a beer and not just a flavored alcoholic beverage. The body is definitely a beer one. There's a bit of yeast in both the taste and mouthfeel, both for the positive. Its ABV contributes to the overall nicely. If seeking raspberry flavored beer, that's not really a sour, there's nothing wrong here.
