neat beer here, attractive packaging, i know nothing about this brewery, but this one really did it for me. a super low alcohol german lager type that is apparently actually a style, schankbier, i have seen it only sparingly over the years, but it seems to be finding some footing, at least in the pacific northwest, way cool! this is summery and easy, seems somewhat modern in terms of hops, but its bright and well refined, to me not as light as expected, which is to say its still super light but its not watered down or missing anything, and feels spirited and smart, definitely a warm weather thing with a ton of character for what it is, i was really impressed. the nose and taste here show subtle german pale malts, a cooler crisper fermentation but not a ton of yeast character, and a floral hop profile that seems really fresh to me, light lemon, white tea, dandelion, even faint riesling or something, very light bitterness, and fast finishing without leaving anything on the table. killer carbonation, feels almost can conditioned to me, very lively and excited. predictably light body but not thin, and with a lot of flavor really for something this low in alcohol, which i also love, could rip pint cans of this all day, i wish more breweries would play in this ultra session space. unique take on a style we never see, really cool. they should be proud of this, i cant wait to drink it again!
