"Dr. Jay," named after our own Javier, is an almost golden copper-colored DIPA with beautiful citrus and pine flavors and aromas. Its dry and bitter profile is balanced out by a sturdy backbone of malt. 4 out of 5 doctors recommend this DIPA.

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It's a pretty, copper-orange with a creamy, egg white-colored cap and a thick film of lacing. Its nose offers sweet malt, lemon, grapefruit, pine needles, and just a whiff of stone fruit. The taste is a classic malty, bitter, West Coast meets Vermont, IPA with a backbone of sweet, bready malt balanced by bitter, resinous pine sap and tart lemon peel and grapefruit rind. There is biting, lingering hop bitterness. Its mouth feel is excellent: luxuriously thick and creamy with pleasant carbonation, and it drinks big for its 8.1% ABV. Overall, I like Dr. Jay a lot and bought cans to take home. It's a solid, West Coast-influenced DIPA.

Nice copper body with a lingering white head. The nose is malty and hoppy. The taste just checks every box and is super satisfying. Grapefruit. Hop dankness. Berries. Biscuity/ bready malty. Finishes nice and bitter. The most outstanding aspect is the mouthfeel. Super smooth and silky. Thin to medium bodied. No harsh qualities whatsoever. This is a thoroughly enjoyable DIPA. Definitely recommended for hop heads. Give it a try.
