Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.

Appears a red-amber color with a one inch off-white head that quickly falls down to a skim. Leaves minimal lacing.

Aroma is of caramel malts, a bit of a toasted quality, and some vague herbal hoppiness.

Taste is sweet up front with lots of caramel. Some toasted malts in the middle and a fruitiness that's hard to point at anything specific. Finish brings some herbal, slightly spicy hops.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied, actually tending towards full. It's got a nice texture to it, not exactly creamy, but kind of chewy.

Pretty solid beer overall, Back Road doesn't ever really blow me away but they definitely have some solid offerings. Gotta support the local brews.
