10th Sep 2013: 0.3 litre tall glass at the brewpub (and 10 cents more per glass than the Helles and Dunkel).
Usual cloudy/murky look of Hefeweizen brews, good white head on top.
I love the banana aromas some/most beers of this style give off, this didn't have a huge smell of bananas, but enough to let you know they've followed the style in principle. There was a wheat and citrus note within the nose as well, these followed on into the taste which added to the banana flavours nicely.
Being fresh it tasted young and I really enjoyed it, even though I'd have preferred a bigger banana presence.
