This was the beer that actually made me ' get ' beer. I was at a festival in Leipzig and had a few other beers until then, earlier in the day I had a Czech Budweiser and didn't find that too appetizing. But a few festgoers I was camping with handed me this, I took a sip, and I fell in love.
The flavor was unexpected. Even if it wasn't ice cold it was pleasant. Warm, with strong wheat and yeast flavor finished off with a smooth buttery flavor. The way it felt was velvety smooth yet thick, rich as could be. Even if I took a small sip it filled my mouth with flavor.
It was the first beer I genuinely enjoyed from start to finish, and it's a beer ive been trying to find in the states ever since.

Eh. Picked one of these up in Berlin on a lazy Sunday. Color is aged-whiskey-like, and it's a beer that would probably fair well on a summer afternoon due to the sweetness that hangs around on the tongue. Doesn't hit much deeper than that. Just lines the mouth like candy.

It has a red brown color with a nice foamy off white head. The aroma is overly sweet and vegetable like. The flavor is very sweet with some earthy tones and is a little bit dirty. There also are some coffee tones. It has a bit of a medium mouthfeel that has a creamy finish.

Classified as a "mix beer" although the only non Reinheitsgebot ingredient is honey.
A: Very soda like, like a bronze cream soda, soda head, some minor rising carbonation.
S: A familiar smell, but one I don't quite know how to describe. Bitter and planty I guess.
T: Honey is very apparent, certainly sweet, under that the dirty German malt. But it's very sweet, overly sweet. Unusually sweet for a supposed beer.
M: Mild carbonation, just a hair dry.
O: Not my favorite. The sweetness ruins it, but if you can get over that, it's decent.

Bottle served into a mug/stein hybrid glass that can hold 500ml in me friend's gaff in Berlin, Germany. Reviewed from notes taken in June.
A: Four finger head is very thin, lacks cream, and retains badly. Gold-copper colour.
Sm: Slight nut hop scent. It's very difficult to detect individual notes with me broken nose. All apologies, lads.
T: Nut hops, caramel, syrup, light coffee, and amber hops. The complexity is ripped apart by the terrible balance. The caramel comes through too strongly, which is unpleasant. Built below the par for the style.
Mf: Mild smoothness and wetness, with coarseness and dryness on the climax.
Dr: 5.4% ABV is pretty standard, but the flavour doesn't even justify the low cost. Avoid.

Bronze color, clean, one finger of beige head.
In the smell honey, yes, but after all, quite balanced.
At the taste; honey. Honey. Honey. And nothing else. Definitely sweet, with a very strong honey-ness.
Anyway, per se, quite clena. But just honey.
If you like honey, ok. Otherwise, it is really boring, and difficult to drink.

A - This beer poured very nicely creating a 2 inch white head, the color was a very clear amber with a hint of reddish tint to it. However, it had very pour head retention with even less lacing.
S - It was very sweet like smelling pure honey.
T - Tasted just like it smelled, very overpowering with sugar and honey.
M - Lot of carbonation that is very crisp on the tongue and pallet.
D - This is a an easy, drinkable beer only if you like sweet beverages, however, the taste of honey was just to overpowering for me to buy this beer again.

I bought it because I liked the label and the name of the beer.
The head was not impressive, disappeared quickly and there was almost no lacing at all. Aroma was sweet and grainy. Actually I thought that it reminded me of honey before reading the label that this was a honey beer. Although the smell is very sweet, it is pleasant.
The taste was a bit shocking, I did not expect this beer to be that sweet. On the postive side, it is possible to feel the presence of honey, unlike in many other similar brews, but on the other hand - that sweetness is way to strong for my taste. I felt I was drinking some sugary lemonade, so I am not sure I would like to try it again.
