Our collaboration with Brother Chimp. Brewed with yeast from First Mate, this beer takes the smooth, toasted bready notes of the steam beer and Dunkel, and adds a touch of warming spice on the tail end, with an addition of freshly toasted cumin.

On tap at the Brewstillery - Batavia, IL
L: body is dark brown with ruby hues; head is beige colored
S: somewhat muted; I smell grain and faint spice
T: more flavorful than aroma; darkened grain, bread crust, earthy hops with a nice toasty/earthy presence from the toasted cumin
F: medium body, pleasant carbonation, very well balanced and semi-dry finish
O: I wasn’t sure how the cumin would be in this one, but it was intriguing enough to order it - it was a nice surprise! It works very well with this beer.
