L- Light straw, pours with vast eager rocky head, 1st pour was 20% beer, 80% foam and it still hasn't settled. Pillowy close to white head with a minor haze in the liquid. .... Just looked up to see... a white foamy column rising out of the bottle neck, WTH!? I pour another 100ml but it does it again!! (and again 10mins later, mad!)
S- Different! At first I thought it was a touch of spice, but then I wonder if it is sourness, akin to sour apple?
T- Quite hoppy-dry, drier than say a Tripel/Quad. In fact their impact builds, this is meatily hopped. Their are clearly malts underpinning this, as they come into some balance. Trad.
F- It has vibrant dry hops but a solid richness to it too. Net-net is a solid punchy beer. Suited for winter/holiday season.
O- As above. I don't get much hint of the ABV%, which = good brewing. It is very impactful and enjoyable, the surprising thing tho is that it has no stand-out character facets. Well for lil' ol' me! Like no fruity esters, timber notes... But I certainly enjoy it, likely more-so than what I had to pay for it.
BB: 03/07/2025, 11%, 750ml thumper of a corked+caged champers type bottle. Bought from the lovely folk at Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds, UK. I see I paid £25 for this... 'kin 'ell!, must have been a Friday night order... deffo 5/5 then! ;;
