Produced by Standard Microbrewery of Thessaloniki this beer is well-rounded, complex and full bodied with an extremely rich malty flavor and aroma.

Roasted sweet malt character with aromas of espresso, chocolate and dark fruit, this is the perfect after-dinner drink. Creamy and smooth in the mouth, with a long aftertaste.

It has aging potential and is best served at 13-16 degrees Celsius (55-60 degrees Fahrenheit).

Pours inky black with a dark mocha head. It gives RIS vibes in the aroma, with dark malts, umami and fortified wine. These elements carry to the taste where they’re joined by big chocolate, some ground espresso and a little tobacco, with hints of stone fruit and vanilla behind, followed by a roasty, semi-ashy finish. Medium bodied with a slick, creamy feel. Impressive depth in this one. The person who carried it from Thessaloniki to Pennsylvania told me it’s barrel aged, but neither of us could determine the barrel; being from Greece it’s unlikely to bourbon.
