Dark brown clear brew with long-lasting dark beige foam in the Blanche de Chambly goblet. Pleasant aroma of dark roasted grain with a whiff of pine and alfalfa. Sudsy and smooth mouthfeel. The flavor is surprisingly bland. Tastes of cereal, dark malt, some hints of chocolate, and a slight bitter finish. Some malty taste with just a hint of sweetness. Overall this is certainly drinkable, but lacks something in the stout character. From the 16 oz can purchased at O'Shea Brewing. Not dated.
