This somehow manages to have a pleasant malty background, though the body is light. I can't believe it's only 3.5%. I was tasting it and walked over to look at the beer board at the Fall tasting room. Bartender assured me it was.
Hops are Belma, Chinook, Mosaic, Simcoe, and Nelson. This is so aromatic the hops must be used sparingly but to great effect. So if this is a "Session IPA" it's an excellent one. But I like to think it's a new development— an American version of the traditional English low alcohol Pale Ale, which is right at home in the 3 percent range. Zingy but not sharp. A lovely surprise.
