a softer take on an east coast ipa, this one with citra and galaxy, not so thick and milky from the tap, but just with a mild haze on it, and a short white head from the tap. delicious aroma, citra and galaxy go so well together, a refreshing break from the now overdone citra and mosaic combination, i think the citra stands out more here, the galaxy a little more delicate, and with a really compatible fruitiness, honeydew melon, pineapple, lemongrass, even green tea, some light bitterness which is cool too from these varietals, i dig it! the beer does feel a little heavy to me though, as much as i like the hops in here and appreciate the somewhat mild vibe they cast, the grain is weighty for not being sweet, cereals and lightly toasted even, a ton of structure for what it is, a little bit in the way, but the flavor it adds is agreeable and it supports the hops. it just slows me down a bit, like i couldnt drink more than a couple of pints of this, but the citra and galaxy hops are delicious, and this is very well made beer, cleaner than so many of the other hazy ones out there. id like to try some more hoppy stuff from fall, this was very good!
