22oz. brown glass bomber pours a murky, dark copper-brown with a thin, foamy, off-white head. The label reads: Victoria Avenue Amber Ale and also states that it's 1994 Gold medal winner, Scottish Style Ale.
Smells of sweet malt and honey with a hint of dark roast coffee and toffee.
Tastes much like it smells with a nutty that turns hop bittering, in the finish. Also has a bit of a burnt taste to it, not smokey, just burnt.
Medium body with a twang to the mouthfeel. Decent carbonation, alcohol is well hidden...a fairly well balanced ale. Worth a try...at best, cheers.
