In 2016, Berg Bier was able to celebrate its 550th anniversary. The anniversary drink is still available today: A naturally cloudy organic beer, with light barley malt from the Alblinsen cultivation. The hop varieties Hallertauer Akoja and Hallertauer Tradition from Tettnang form the basis. At the end of the second fermentation, Tettnanger aroma hops are also placed in the tank, which the brewer also calls hops. An artisanal beer that makes connoisseurs truly cheer.

Picked up the last few dusty 0.5l bottles at the local Edeka for the usual low price for beer in Germany. Pours a bright golden color, not nearly as hazy/cloudy and thick as many beers of this style. Nice aromas of lightly roasted malt, cellar/funk, and a bit of spice. Same in the flavor and feel. Great flavors of grainy, earthy goodness and a rich, smooth feel and finish. Overall a pretty good example of this style but certainly better examples throughout Germany. This is almost more like an Export than a Keller.
