Appearance: Poured from 12oz bottle 3 1/2 months after "best before" date into room temperature pilsner glass. 2.5cm of off white frothy foam that was very persistent and left plenty of beautiful lacing. Cloudy beer with a color that was a cross between pale yellow and straw. The label art on the bottle was designed by an Italian artist to portray a likeness of a Naples legend known as Pullcinella.
Aroma: Medium. Fresh squeezed orange juice. It smelled good, I just wish it had more character.
Taste: Orange, tangerine, a barely noticeable hint of lime. Very mild hop character with minimal bitterness or resiny pine notes. It maintained a citrus profile though.
Feel: High carbonation. Not too dry. Very crisp.
Overall: This is a great beer for anyone trying to ease their way into the pale ale world. It's also very versatile. Having said that, don't expect it to blow your mind.
Pairing: It complimented a Neapolitan pizza perfectly, just as it was designed to do.
