Wouldn't mind a few fewer IPAs. The beers I had were solid and the food was tasty. Music was very loud, but I enjoyed the songs, so, could be worse. Minor complaints. Quality spot.

Down by the port of Long Beach, where cruise ships and container vessels loom like metal leviathans and lighthouses stand sentinel over a dystopian mess of parking lots—prime oceanfront real estate swallowed by concrete madness—exists a tableau of urban confusion. Oddball one-way streets weave through a half-baked attempt at walkability, and the whole place screams of a bizarre, B-grade influencer culture. Hipster joints pepper the landscape beneath soulless condo towers, a playground for the Lululemon and Supreme cultists who can't quite muster the cash to invade LA’s glittering enclave.

Amid this urban lunacy, the old Beachwood haunt has clawed its way back from the brink, keeping its irreverent spirit while donning a fresh coat of decor. The beer selection? A hoppy carnival, drenched in IPA delirium, like California’s fever dream come true. Each pint is a revelatory escape from the concrete oppression. Asada fries and blackened shrimp salad accompany the madness perfectly—greasy, bold, and unapologetically decadent. Here, in this realm of concrete and irony, they serve up flavor that matches the chaos.

 

it’s the old beachwood spot downtown on the promenade! chill vibes and a good location. the master brewer is from riip and then beachwood before that.
