Irrelevant Beer

Poured into a weizen glass. Pours a lightly hazy, light to medium golden amber with fine, three finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of lightly husky wheat malt, cracked wheat and light lemon and orange, coriander. Flavor follows with husky wheat malt, shredded wheat, lemon with wisps of orange, coriander; faint Belgian yeast fruit notes. Starts slightly sweet but finishes dry and citrusy. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess and sharp carbonation. A solid, if somewhat idiosyncratic witbier. Hits the wheat, coriander and citrus character for the style, but has a little more orange in the citrus profile and an interesting faint fruit ester, probably from the yeast in the dry finish. Refreshing and brightly carbonated. I enjoyed it.
