Double Dry Hopped IPA. “Stone Fruit. Melon. Surprises. Weird Fishes is a great song by Radiohead, but it’s also our new IPA full of aromas of melon, berries, citrus, and stonefruit.” Brewed with Anchovy hops and double dry hopped for an extra punch of aromatics.

On tap at Imperial in PDX yesterday. This was listed as a DDH wcipa.

The beer pours a golden amber color with good head retention and lacing. This really looks pretty good. On the nose I get considerable onion and dry tropical fruit, with noticeable pine as well. Yep, wcipa all the way here. The flavor profile replicates the nose, with the beer displaying considerable bitterness on the finish. Alcohol is very well integrated into the flavor profile, with the beer finishing dry and fairly bitter. Mouthfeel is fairly light for the abv., enhancing the beer's drinkability. Even so, this is a very flavorful and enjoyable wcipa.

I mostly ordered this for the clever and amusing name, but in fact this is a very well crafted ipa. Very nice beer from the folks at Recluse.

This beer pours a clear golden amber color with a small head that stays for a while. Aroma is citrus and lemon. Taste is the same with notes of melon, didn't notice any stone fruit. Overall, a decent beer, but nothing special. Rated 1-22-2024
