never heard of a danish style pils i dont think, so this was immediately intriguing to me, only had a couple from these guys so far but i have liked them, obvious buy! its a fine beer, to me it has an almost electric little zizzle to it about halfway through, something with the ferment maybe, perhaps it got a bit warm in transport, its not brutal but it does impact the refreshment factor and makes it seem a little less clean, cant imagine thats the danish style element as something intentional, not at all, its nice beer otherwise, easy anyway, and is interesting enough to stand out in what is becoming a very samey style space, moderately innovative pils malt based lagers. really light in the glass, maybe not filtered but light enough to look pretty clear anyway, lighter than blonde, short but airy and persistent white head from the pint can. the aroma on this has just a little almost tannic sharpness, limey and tea-like noble hops to me, modest bitterness, lemony too, faintly astringent but more in the flavor than in the nose with that to me, very nice and distinctive pils malt character to both senses, bready and old worldy, fresh to me, light and slightly floral even in how it presents, fuller spectrum, maybe floor malted, its front and center in this. the ferment is a little funny maybe, thats that center palate element im not sure if i love, seriously has a very quick flash of of almost melting plastic, chemical, but its quick, and it seems to dissipate as this sits a little, does not wreck the experience of the whole at all. snappy at the end, almost unexpectedly crisp at the conclusion, maybe the yeast is the danish aspect, maybe something to how this is hopped, which is subtle and well integrated but another distinctive component of this. fun and different, summery and flavorful, rushing and consistent carbonation, still dont totally get it, but an enjoyable patio beer to share with my wife!
