JANUARY 2024.
33 cl can (€3.33 at the brewery), bought in a mixed box directly at the brewery: 12 cans/€40).
As soon as it is poured it releases a warm scent of cocoa and toasted notes. Light spicy olfactory note (cinnamon).
Black color with dark brown reflections, deep beige foam. Little foam and poor consistency (poured in three stages).
In the mouth, the beer is rather smooth both from a carbonation point of view and in terms of consistency: not dense.
Predominant taste of bitter cocoa which integrates very well with slightly toasted notes that recall roasted coffee. There is a very slight spiciness and there is a very slight hint of cinnamon, but the dark chocolate flavor is certainly the master.
Very well hidden alcohol content.
Imperial Stout certainly more English than American, spicy and tasty with an excellent balance.
Cinnamon flavor only for the spiciness, the taste remains well hidden behind the predominant chocolate.
