FEBRUARY 2024. Can of 33 (€4.50)
In addition to barley malt, a small percentage of non-diseased wheat and oats are present.
As soon as it is uncorked it exudes citrus and slightly floral aromas.
Versata is a light blonde that with a veiled effect turns towards intense straw yellow.
He has a nice foam hat.
In my mouth I find a beer with a medium/full body but completely (or almost) devoid of daring carbonation which makes the drink less light than it could be.
The predominant flavor is that of citrus fruits and citrus peel (especially grapefruit, but also bitter orange) which is counterbalanced by more tropical notes of pineapple and summer fruit.
With the dilution of the beer, sweeter and warmer (and heavier) malt notes emerge and the alcoholic note is felt.
The finish is the most pleasant thing about drinking it: dry with a pleasant bitter taste that I appreciated.
The taste and the final bitterness are there, but a practically absent carbonation does not enhance this beer and it is a discussion that I would also extend to other similar beers packaged in cans.
