Pours a hazy mahogany with a brief finger of white head settles to patchy film. Some lace. Toasty, slightly sweet, inviting nose. Rich "brown" flavors/aromas up front with some light roast astringence at the finish. A bit of hop character but overall neutral and subdued. Toasty, nutty, light-roast coffee and hint of chocolate. It is medium+ bodied with a rich, coating character to the mouthfeel. An enjoyable brown ale.
