Clear golden amber brew with a fine pile of foam in the Rodenbach goblet. Crisp and sudsy on the tongue. The carbonation does fade somewhat on the second glass. Fragrant with straw, alfalfa, and lime. Flavors of grapes, bread, and a touch of mango.
Hops are listed as Motueka and Mosaic Extra XP. Warm and malty, but not flabby. Less thin and crisp than typical PIlsners, but you get this wonderful aromatic and mellow flavor with a hint of citrus peel. I wouldn't call it an Imperial based on the ABV, but it is certainly substantial.
Overall a delicious and highly drinkable lager. I'd say it's better than some swankier PIlsner style brews I"ve tried lately. From the 32 oz crowler picked up at the brewery restaurant. Another place that makes it easy to get a variety of interesting beers in uneasy times.
