Nicely aromatic with pineapple and bark compost. Pencil shavings in the nose. Fruit and straw flavors with a moderate bitter aftertaste. Green melon, apricot, and a woody finish. Some sweet malt to start, then tangy without excess acidity. Hops are listed as Pahto for bittering, with aromatic HBC 692 and our old friend Mosaic.
It does get a little bitter after some sipping, but definitely in the West Coast IPA vein. The fruit and malty sweetness start out with each new sip but then the leafy bitterness. Thoroughly interesting brew and definitely one for the hop enthusiast. From the 32 oz crowler filled at the brewpub.
