This cloudy beauty is whirlpool hopped and dry hopped with Strata (new to us) and Citra. Strata is being described as the new darling of the hop world. How could you go wrong? Lovely citrus flavor combined with dank herb and sharp zesty notes.

Pint pour on draught at the brewery. Served in a shaker glass. It pours a murky, pale, grassy-yellow with a thin, ecru-colored cap and soapy lacing. The smell is fragrant and includes notes of lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, tangerine, a whiff of red berry, and soft floral hops. Its taste opens tart and bitter with abundant lemon peel and grapefruit rind over a firm, cracker malt base. The Strata hops contribute their telltale dank grassy, herbal, weedy notes. As it warms there is just a hint of red berry sweetness. This ale has a lite, crisp mouth feel with pleasant carbonation, and the 6.5% ABV permits easy drinking. Overall, the hop bill of Citra and Strata is simple but effective. It's tasty and satisfying.
