A strong, rich and malty German lager originally brewed in the 1600s by monks at the Paulaner brewery in Munich. Deep copper with intense maltiness, toasty notes and subtle chocolate

Had on tap. Somewhat opaque brown body with a nice shimmer, beige head that settles into a cap. Smells of caramel malts with big plum and minor date, darker white bread yeast. Taste adds minor earth, more depth to the yeast, and cocoa dusting to really make the dark fruits sings as the star in the spotlight with the malts right there. Feel is lighter for style but expands the width through the sip with waves a cool malts, yeast is soft, the abv is completely hidden. This is their best beer I have had easily, well done!
