12oz can
Pours a finger of white head. Retention is decent. Lacing is pretty good. Body is a cloudy straw yellow. Looks nice.
Nose certainly has a pepper characteristic, though not very spicy. Faint tropical. Creamy. Not a huge aroma, but interesting.
Flavor is delicate - tropical, a little pepper, some spice. Does have a creamy taste to it, reminiscent of a hazy which would explain the appearance, probably oats. Leans towards the light side, definitely a bit watery. It's ok, not sure the unmodified grains work here.
Despite the oats, the body is very light too. Carbonation is medium - low. Bitterness is pretty modest. Somewhat dry at times. Overall the mouthfeel is too light and dry for me.
Drinkability is fine.
Really an odd beer, by the time it fully warms the foundation is mostly just that malt base. The pepper and hop flavors are super subtle. It's trying to be a hazy but then there are these classic pale ale hops and pepper and it just doesn't seem to work together.
