A Smedbofication of the classic, but surprisingly recent, Irish Red Ale. More hazelnuts, more toffee and overall reassuringly bigger.

Pours a dark reddish brown with fine tan head.
Smell is sweet and malty with notes of dried fruit, chestnjts, brown sugar and cocoa.
Taste is sweet, malty and boozy. Notes of brown sugar, chestnuts and dried fruit. Soft bitterness, but oppressively sweet.
Mouthfeel is medium, well carbonated.
Overall, an interesting beer. Way, way, WAY too sweet. Maybe would benefit from aging, but fairly fresh it's a bit of a mess.
