All Spruced Up Nowhere To Go from Velum Fermentation. 16 fl oz can, purchased 26/02/26 from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. $3.25 (Including tax)/$ 0.203/fl oz. In reefer at store, stored at 40 degrees F at home. Reviewed 06/03/26, review 3699. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Undated can. Served at 46.0 degrees F in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. The final temperature is 55.7 degrees F.
Appearance – 3.
First pour – Pale Straw (SRM 2), hazy.
Body – Straw (SRM 3), opaque. Under direct light, same. When rear-lit, same, but glows.
Head – Average (Maximum one cm, aggressive center pour). White, medium density, short duration; the head drops to an irregular 0.15 - 0.2 cm crown fed by spotty carbonation, and a thin, partial cap. Some small, detached arcs remain above the head.
Lacing – Fair. A narrow band of near-microscopic bubbles, occasionally connected to the remaining head.
Aroma – 3.5 – Pine cleaner. No malt, no alcohol.
Flavor – 3.5 – Slightly bitter, resiny like Pine-Sol®, no malt, no alcohol (6.8 % according to the label). No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl. No gastric warming.
Palate – 3 – Medium: Watery: Soft carbonation.
Style: Sort of follows the BA style description.
Final impression and summation: 3 (After deducting 0.25 point for an undated container) Uncredited label art. Basically Pine-Sol® (after checking the MSDS sheet, it’s non-toxic) with some well-hidden ethanol.
