Music now has taste. And that taste is bitter. The popular music venue of Lexington brings their own brewing prowess to the bands with an American IPA.
Light amber and faintly hazy, Burl IPA floats a gentle eggshell cap while a citrusy and herbal scent graces the nose. Sweet upon the first sip, the session opens mildly sweet with caramel, honey, toasty and nutty flavors to suggest a dry granola character.
Soon met with hops, the middle palate sheds much of its malt sweetness and pops with the classic flavors of orange peel and pink grapefruit. Followed by a bitter punch, the finish of pine, fresh-cut grasses and a leafy, stemmy bite wraps up the session.
Medium bodied and dryly resinous, the efficient ale shows low lying astringency that’s draped in hop resins and a fruity after palate of citrus peel and tea leaf.

Nice copper color with decent head and lacing. Nose is pine and citrus. Taste is bursting with citrus. Not as much bitterness as i like but decent. Quick flavor fade.
