I scouted this place out for the Lions/Niners NFC Championship game, thinking the pictures online looked a little more like a somewhat clean and neutral location focused on craft beer. I probably should have expected this, even outside of Napa, but what it turned out to be was just shy of a Niners backer bar and family restaurant blend, though perhaps a little woodier, stickier, creakier, and overall more rustic.
I was also expecting maybe some tacos or burritos, but it had an odd combination of burgers and pasta more like a Chili's with a much smaller menu. Furthermore, they only actually have two house beers, which I'm guessing aren't even brewed on-site, though I have no idea. They weren't bad, though, to their credit. They had maybe 10 or so other guest drafts, which I was surprised to see, until I realized half of them were kicked for who knows how long.
All in all, it was a fairly ho-hum experience, made even less enjoyable by the fact that I had to watch yet another San Francisco area sports team make yet another national championship game in yet another year while listening to everyone in the bar completely unironically feel like it was just exactly the way it should be while also acting as if they've never been there before.
Fun!
