Appearance - Pours a hazy apricot gold with four fingers of dense frothy white head.
Smell - citrus and tropical hops, citrus and orange peel, peach, papaya, mango, pineapple, hint of passion fruit, hint of grapefruit peel, bready malts, and earthy tropical yeast.
Taste - bold citrus and tropical hops upfront followed by the bold notes from the citrus and orange peel, peach, papaya, mango, pineapple, hint of passion fruit and mango. The brew is rounded off by the bready malts and earthy tropical yeast.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the citrus and tropical elements lingering.
Overall - Another winner from Nelson. They seem to be on their game as of late. This one delivers on all cylinders and is highly sessionable even on this crisp fall afternoon here in Cowtown.
