We took our grains and explored another collab between US hops and NZ hops. We ended up with a bit higher efficiency with this new mix of grains than we're used to which left us with a slightly higher 9%. "gasp". Swapping out Autodidacts use of Riwaka with Taiheke we're left with a little more tropical grapefruit notes accented by the nelson's toss in of grape and motueka's squeeze of citrus. The ABV is well meshed with the hits of hops and leaves a pleasant tropics finish with a bit of bitter backbone to clean up those final drops.

Cool hop flavor. Very mellow and thin for the abv. Trying to figure out the predominant hops. Meiteka citra and maybe Simcoe?

12 oz. pour on draught at the brewery. Despite its name, while hazy, it isn't opaque. It is bright golden-yellow in color with a half finger, creamy, milk-white head and lacing. The smell is primarily lemon, grapefruit, and floral hops. But its taste is big and fruity with notes of lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, and some tropical notes from the unnamed New Zealand hops (I'm guessing Wai-iti or Wakatu?) Beneath the fruit is a dry, crackery malt. It is only mildly bitter. The mouth feel is surprisingly lite for a TIPA and it doesn't drink like 9% ABV. Overall, this collaboration with Autodidact is a fine TIPA with a big taste and it is very appropriate for summertime drinking.
