Pilsner malt, German hops, cellaring temperatures, and a little bit of time combined to make this easy drinking, dry-hopped Keller-inspired Pilsner.

Mildly hazy, light yellow body; thin, white head, lasting and sticky along the glass; some lively spots of carbonation. Mild, bready aroma, a bit grassy, a bit floral. The taste mirrors the aroma with the addition of some balanced bitterness; some mild pepper quality. Medium body; some mild, smooth warmth to the palate; primarily dry finish.
A nice, low-key German lager with some fine aroma and flavor notes. I'd revisit this one again and again if it was distributed in Colorado.

Tonewood Brewing "Mullet Cut"
on tap at the brewery on 10 November 2017
Notes: Slightly hazy straw gold body beneath a short head of white foam that holds pretty well, bolstered by the tiny bubbles rising from beneath. It seems like natural carbonation which would make sense as it's listed as a "Keller Pilsner". The aroma offers a combination of Pilsner malt with hops that lend it a note of lemon, flowers, a general spiciness, and light herbs. Not surprisingly, the flavor follows. In my opinion, having just returned from a two week beer tour of Germany I'd say it's definitely more northern than southern in style with a crispness that's not just from bitterness, but from the malt and choice of hops as well. It's dry, spicy, floral and herbal in the finish with a hint of lemon - very nice. Medium-light in body and gently crisp with a standard but fine-bubbled carbonation. Very nicely balanced and rounded. Highly drinkable. Really quite charming.
