Binfield is a “Best Bitter” brewed with Maris Otter, Crystal, and a touch of Chocolate malt and hopped with a delicate yet thoughtful dose of East Kent Golding and Fuggle hops.
This traditional little bugger is an absolute delight, with notes of breakfast scones, citrus marmalade, caramel covered milk duds, and dried dark fruit.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single from the fridge for $3.49 plus tax. No canned on date. I noticed this can in my cellar as the top had started to protrude so I'm glad that I caught it before it exploded.
Look: It pours out a beautiful copper, almost amber color. The beer has a pretty soft haze to it along with spritely carbonation. There is a half finger of frothy, khaki head remaining. Nice lacing.
Smell: Nice aromas. Orange marmalade, caramel, and toffee. Sweet, biscuity malt along with toasted bread crust. Subtle spiciness on the finish with black pepper and cloves. Overall, it smells crisp and clean.
Taste: Very tasty and very crushable. If I didn't know much about beer or if I was trying to explain this to the uninitiated, I guess that I could compare this beer to a cross between a hard root beer and hard cream soda and the residual sugar and acidity was removed. Similar to the nose, on the palate there are notes of dried orange peel, black tea, biscuity malt, caramel, toffee, and clove. Secondary notes of chocolate and coffee. The finish has a nice combination of mild bitterness and toasty, biscuity maltiness. When the bitterness fades, there is a nice biscuity malt that lingers on the palate for a while longer.
Feel: The mouthfeel is soft, very smooth. The can conditioning really worked well here. It has a relatively high level of carbonation, but the bubbles are fine and it creates a very nice mouthfeel.
Overall: This is the kind of beer that you can just sit and drink and enjoy on its own without anything else - without other beers, without being accompanied by food, etc. Why isn't this style more popular outside of the UK? It's just so simple, low in alcohol, and so good! This is a really nice expression of the style from Tonewood and Second District, kudos to them for coming together to make this wonderful style that is not an IPA.
From the can:
Hops - East Kent Golding, Fuggle
Malts - Maris Otter, Biscuit, C77, Pale Chocolate

Light leathery brown in color, cloudiness, of white head that leaves a nice little film.
Nose has some dark fruit, rich maltiness, doughy and darkened biscuit; dark fruit.
Taste is rich in darkened biscuity malt; impressions of light apritcot, as it warms gentle hints of chocolate, touch of earthy hops on the finish.
Light body; soft creamy and light carbonation; touch of bitterness and pretty drying on the palette.
