Pours clear deep brown, vanilla tinted white head is finely textured and retains as a film.
Aroma of caramel, smoked woody notes, maybe some pecan.
Flavor is of nutty notes, oak, and smoked meaty notes with a mildly bitter burnt wood finish.
Medium body, tingly carbonation on the tongue.
Excellent rauchbier, truly great representation of the style. I think you would have to go to Germany to find a better one.
