Dark brown color with no light passing through. Spotty lace initially, nothing later.
The fruit subtly stands out—it smells more like strawberry to me than raspberry. There’s a darker chocolate smell holding this all together.
The taste IS raspberry, giving this beer a sweet flavor that’s unexpected for a stout. Richer body. I’m not picking up any chocolate. There’s no burnt malt or coffee flavors. So, this is closer to a fruity brown ale.
