Near black color (no light passes). Smaller beige head but it leaves plenty of webby lace on the glass.

The smell is of darker chocolate and coffee with cream. There’s an interesting maple syrup present although that isn’t part of the recipe.

The taste is less coffee but more black patent malt creating a burnt malt bitterness. The chocolate is barely perceptible. Decent body with a lower carbonation level. This has a long aftertaste of burnt toast.
