A rich brown beer with amber highlights that pours with a meduim head. Decent head retention, but leaves little lacing. The aroma is very faint and it is hard to pinpoint any individual components. The taste was sweet and very nutty. Strong caramel notes are folllowed by a very respectable bitterness. Lower carbonation leads to a very smooth mouthfeel and good drinkability. Due to the fact that the appearance and aroma suffered a bit, I imagine this was from near the end of the keg, but my server could not confirm that suspicion. In any case, it is still a solid offering, even as experienced. Hope to revisit this beer on the next trip to Foundry.
