From the Foundry Beer List: "seven barrels of stout with 13 pounds of espresso and vanilla nut coffee beans..." They aren't kidding. This beer pours a dark, overly strong coffee color with a thin head which does it's best to hang around to produce some respectable lace. The aroma is strong on coffee and roasted malt. Touch of caramel sweetness in the nose, but it could have been vanilla. The flavor is huge on coffee/espresso. Hints of vanilla and nuts are there as well. Amazingly, a good bitterness stills comes through on the finish. The mouthfeel is decent , but a bit thin for a stout. Good drinakbility, especially as an after-dinner beer. A nice creation. I just think they should have spelld "Aran" A-a-r-o-n. But nobody's perfect.
