This rich, dark chestnut brown beer poured with an impressive head. It was on the "hand-pump", but it seemed to be nitrogenated. The head lasted for a long time, but produced minimal lacing. The faint aroma revealed a hint of malt with a touch of caramel. The taste is unique, with a strong malt profile. Chocolate and raisin notes blend with a prolific bitterness. Truly interesting. Mouthfeel is very smooth and creamy. About as refreshing as a porter can be. Drinkability is excellent, as this beer did not last very long in front of me. A beer I would love to have available all year.
