Offered only as a beer float in the taproom (I avoided), but 16 ounce can from brewery enjoyed at home without added ice cream. Part of city wide "Wyrd Beer 2026" in Edmonton (at least no crickets (actual crickets floating!) in this one).
Despite being advertised as a hazy ice cream IPA, this pours remarkably close to a clear pale yellow straw colour with a finger plus of tight white bubbly head.
Nose is fruity with a whack of vanilla - certainly notes of mango, I get berries, notes of creamsicle and a touch of mandarin orange.
Tastes of creamsicle ice cream treat, vanilla, orange cream, mango, and again a touch of strawberry. Minimal to no significant bitterness.
Medium mouthfeel - creamy yet not rich - bright tingling carbonation.
Not a style I go to often but on occasion, like this one, delightful. And not too "Wyrd".
