We’d say this ale is the taste of summer, but let’s be honest – a beer as well-made as this tastes great any time of year. Light-bodied with a hint of wheat and perfectly balanced against a backdrop of Citra, Simcoe and Galaxy hop flavours, it’s fruity with a refreshingly light bitterness making it an esky-filling easy-drinker that’s hard to beat.

This was a Christmas gift in 2023 that was drunk in March 2024.
L: Pours hazy, with a light neon-yellow colour and a long-lasting, fluffy, rocky head. Lots of carbonation moves up the glass.
S: A sweet malt body with mild tropical fruits and pineapple adding to the impression of sweetness.
T: The clear initial impression is of a thin, post-mixy/soda vibe. A mildly hoppy, mildly flavoured pineapple and tropical note follows, but it's not enough to overwhelm that initial thin impression. It's almost like the soda note washes away the rest of the flavour, like when you're hitting the end of the syrup mix at a self-serve soda machine.
M: The thinness of the taste is reflected in the body, or maybe it's vice versa. Whatever it is, the beer is thin in the mouth, lightly carbonated, and while undoubtedly refreshing on a hot day, it reduces enjoyment on other occasions.
O: This one was a miss for me. It's still in date by a few months, so perhaps it has lost some zing as it aged, but it has certainly been kept cold and still in my possession for the last four months. If I ever get a chance to drink it fresh, I'll return here and reassess.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
