An Imperial Pastry Stout with Coconut, Coffee & Vanilla.
Our 3rd Anniversary Pastry Stout was brewed with our great friends at Two Flint Brewery. We treated this one with Coconut, Coffee and Vanilla beans. The base beer came out really chocolaty and caramelly, so the selected adjuntcs make a beautiful Pastry Stout inspired by a coconut-chocolate cake with a cup of coffee on side.

Copenhagen 4/3 2026. 44 cl can from Øltanken web-shop. A mysterious, monk-like, docile fellow with big ears on the black can.
Pours opaque dark brown with almost no head. Settles as a thin rim of foam running along the sides of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with sweet sugary odor of dark malts and sweet spices. Dark roasted malts, brown sugar and vanilla. Coconut and Malibu liqueur. Light bitter whiff of black coffee. With a spoonful of sugar.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily, soft, fat, viscous, creamy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable boozy undertone. Lightly searing. Lingering. Finish is boozy and a bit sticky as a cake should be.
A worthy birthday cake.
