Had German Pilsner at the Heartwork taproom, Bloomington, Ind., on draft into tulip pint.
Pours light yellow-gold with clarity and creamy near-white head, with decent retention, leaving a little splotchy lace down the glass. Floral and herbal aromas off pour, then lots of aroma of mildly tart stone fruit and lime. Begins crisp, over mild pilsner malt, then mild lemon, carrying over the smooth, full pilsner body, into a crisp and a bit herbally-bitter finish.
Clean, classic by-the-numbers German pilsner, with a bit of extra fruit for feels.
