Bottle obtained with a bunch of other stuff as a reward for volunteering for GABF. Bottle stamp reads 4354 63 0944. Pouors a half finger white merangue-sticky head over a cloudy and light straw colored liquid. Sick, this thing has greenish edgins. That's f'ed up, like there's some algae growing in the beer. Smells like Heineken (and that's not good). Skunked and metallic. Tastes dry malty with tin metallic hops. Soured malt, hop bitter, and burned grains. This beer is foul and disjointed. Not often I dump a beer, but this is too disgusting to drink. Light body and Md carbonation.

Appearance: clear and gold with some foam and enough lacing. Aroma: promises more than it delivers: mildly sweet and bright. Initial taste has a mellow dryness, with a malty, middle with bready dough and yeast. Finish has mild carbonation, and a dry palate that seems to be appropriate for Arizona.

Black Mountain Gold: 12 ounce bottle, clear glass. WOW, as soon as you pop the top you can smell the skunk. Pour it into the glass and it really gets strong. Too bad, cause it does not taste that bad.
Pure gold, absolutely clear. Nice white head, with fairly good cling. The taste is not bad, a bit of malts actually make it through the skunk. Light bodied, sweet aftertaste. Not bad, but damn the stink on this beer is something else.

On the pour a translucent gold with a decent white head that is frothy in texture, the lace adequate to cover the glass. Nose is fresh, crisp and clean, start is somewhat sweet, and the top thin to middling in feel to the palate. Finish is moderate in carbonation, the hops apropos to the style, a beer meant for the hot times of the year, drinkable but as I said before lagers, just dont do a thing for me.
