Smooth and malty. Easy drinking
The Irish Potato Famine of the 1840s saw many Irish immigrants searching for greener pastures. And they don’t come much greener than Koroit. This smooth Irish Stout is perfect for celebrating with at the annual Koroit Irish Festival. Sláinte!

A Christmas gift from 2023, drunk in April 2024.
L: On pouring, it's the classic nitro backwards-cascading bubbles melding seamlessly into a brown-coal-coloured body. As things settle, a hefty collar of marshmallow-like foam sits regally atop the beer, daring my moustache to enter its silken, creamy embrace.
S: The armour is subtle, milky coffee and cocoa. A sweet minerality overlays all.
T: I can taste a subtle roasted malt flavour and a hint of brown sugar and milk. The bitterness is almost non-existent, and the beer has a dry finish, which makes me crave more. Towards the end, I can detect a mild raspberry flavour, but since I find it in all stouts (and I seem to be the only one), I wonder if it's just my taste buds playing tricks on me. This beer has a light and delicate taste, which goes perfectly with the nitro. Highly enjoyable.
M: As Paul Hogan once said, it's like angels crying on your tongue. The beer is pillow-soft, and I could see myself glugging it in large gulps rather than my usual delicate, pinkie-extended sipping fashion.
O: This is an excellent beer, probably overrated due to the novelty of a well-done nitro stout. But if novelty is what makes this style of beer stand out from the Guinness-addled crowd, then it's done its job admirably.
Cheers!
