I visited Dairyland for the first time a couple of weeks ago. They're out in the hinterlands between Snohomish and Monroe, in a barn that used to be Haywire Brewing a few years back. It's clearly a whole event space; in addition to the brewery and taproom (the brewhouse is right there to see, which I like!), there's a distillery and a big outdoor area. There were a couple regulars at the bar in the barn, but I sat outside as it was a nice day, and it was quite pleasant out there. The lady who poured my beers was nice. They had about 12 beers on tap on my visit, along with some ciders and seltzer. Styles included a couple IPAs, a couple lagers, an amber, hefeweizen, brown ale, cream ale, strawberry kölsch, and 3 different blonde ales. So, a decent number of taps for a small brewery, but not a particular adventurous list of styles.

Now, about the beer itself. The first beer I had, a "hazy" IPA, was okay enough; not really to-style but not bad. The second beer I had, the hefeweizen, was profoundly disappointing -- frankly I'm shocked they would serve it. So I'm unlikely to return to Dairyland for a while; maybe in another six months or a year they'll be on their legs a little bit more (though they're at least a year old already now).
