Brown color with copper highlights and a thin head.
Aroma with predominant notes of coffee and some dark chocolate.
Flavor with notes of coffee, mild cola and faint spices from the buckwheat. Dry aftertaste with a faint bitterness. No way this has 35 IBUs.
Watery body with mild carbonation. I guess making it proper for celiacs made it watery.
Well, I am truly happy I am not a celiac. The beer does not taste bad, but it feels like watery and very distant from what a Stout body. Also, it lost a lot of complexity. Interesting that they used malted corn in the recipe given it has no gluten besides buckwheat. It does not mention coffee in the ingredients.
